Tu silueta - El Niño y la verdad Contratiempo – Music
Here are Lisandra García y Daniel Gener dancing contratiempo on "Tu Silueta" by El Niño y La Verdad
👀 What to watch for in the video
- The break on 2: in contratiempo the dancers don't step on beats 1 and 5. Watch where their feet change direction: that happens on 2 and 6.
- The bass as an anchor: listen to the bass at the same time. It falls just before the beat, and that is what the dancers lock into.
- Calm in the figures: because the emphasis lies elsewhere, turns and figures in contratiempo often feel a little smoother and rounder.
